The short answer
Close rivals, different reach
AskSpot and Molin are both AI shopping-and-support agents for online stores. Molin is self-serve and built for smaller stores: a permanent free plan, low entry prices, and Messenger, Instagram and AI phone calls live today. Its AI answers tickets inside Molin’s own built-in inbox – handy if you have no helpdesk yet, but if you already run Zendesk, Freshdesk or Thulium, Molin doesn’t advertise a way to work inside it. AskSpot is a catalog-aware sales and support Agent that we set up for you: it searches your products (including by photo), offers a virtual fitting room, helps shoppers check out inside the chat, and answers order questions across the storefront, your helpdesk and the Allegro and Amazon marketplace inboxes – in 200+ languages, with no cap on your catalogue.
Choose AskSpot if…
You run a large catalogue or sell on several platforms and marketplaces (Magento, PrestaShop, IdoSell, Allegro, Amazon), want an AI that works inside the helpdesk you already run (Freshdesk, Thulium, Zendesk) and answers email tickets on its own, and want a team to set the Agent up for you – included in the price.
Choose Molin if…
You run a small store with under 50,000 products, have no helpdesk yet, want to set everything up yourself at the lowest price, and need Messenger, Instagram or AI phone calls today – and you can do without a virtual fitting room, voice in the chat and checkout inside the chat.

How AskSpot works: one Agent across two channels – its own storefront chat and your existing helpdesk inbox. It plugs into the helpdesk you already run (Freshdesk, Thulium, Zendesk, Allegro, Amazon) rather than replacing it.
Scored against each vendor’s public product, pricing and documentation pages, October 2026. AskSpot is scored on the same rubric. Where AskSpot trails: Molin ships a permanent free plan, Messenger, Instagram and AI phone calls today, and ready-made apps in the Shopify and Shoper app stores.

Pricing
What each one costs
AskSpot charges a flat rate per conversation; Molin sells plans capped by conversations and catalogue size. So compare the all-in cost at the same volume, not the sticker price. Figures from each vendor’s pricing page (monthly billing), October 2026 – in US dollars, as each vendor lists them, with euros alongside.
AskSpot
$290 / month
(€250) at ~1,250 conversations – flat rate, everything in.
- Includes 1,250 conversations a month
- Then $0.22 (€0.18) per extra conversation
- No cap on catalogue size, no per-seat fees
- Done-for-you setup and a dedicated success manager included
Molin
$139 / month
(≈ €129) at ~1,250 conversations – Scale plan (monthly).
- Free plan (25 conv/mo) · Startup $23/mo (125 conv) · Growth $65/mo (500) · Scale $139/mo (1,250)
- Catalogue caps of 2,000 / 10,000 / 50,000 products – Enterprise above that
- Startup and Growth stop at their limit; Scale charges $0.20 (≈ €0.19) per extra conversation
- Extra team seat $19/mo (≈ €18); done-for-you setup $500 (≈ €463) one-off
| All-in cost / month | AskSpot | Molin |
|---|---|---|
| ~1,250 conversations | $290 (€250) – everything in | $139 (≈ €129) – Scale plan |
| ~2,000 conversations | $455 (€385) | $289 (≈ €268) – Scale + overage |
On list price, Molin is cheaper – about half of AskSpot’s cost at 1,250 conversations, and about a third less at 2,000 – and its free plan is real. What the sticker leaves out: the plans are capped by catalogue size (50,000 products on Scale, Enterprise above that), every extra team seat costs $19 a month, a custom product feed and data exports need Enterprise, and a done-for-you setup is a $500 one-off. AskSpot has no catalogue cap and no seat fees, and the setup and a dedicated success manager are part of the flat rate – 1,250 conversations included, then $0.22 (€0.18) each. Molin figures are monthly billing in US dollars from its pricing page, with euros at €1 ≈ $1.08, October 2026.

FAQ
AskSpot vs Molin – common questions
Is AskSpot better than Molin?
It depends on the store. For larger catalogues and stores selling across several platforms and marketplaces, AskSpot does more: in-chat checkout, a virtual fitting room, the Allegro and Amazon inboxes, an email Agent that answers tickets on its own, 200+ languages and a done-for-you setup. For a smaller store that wants to start free, set itself up and answer on Messenger, Instagram and the phone today, Molin is a strong, cheaper fit. The capability table and pricing above lay out the trade.
How much does Molin cost?
Molin sells monthly plans capped by conversations and catalogue size: a free plan (25 conversations, 500 products), Startup $23 (125 conversations), Growth $65 (500) and Scale $139 (1,250 conversations, 50,000 products), with $0.20 per extra conversation on Scale. Extra team seats are $19 a month and a done-for-you setup is $500 one-off. At about 1,250 conversations a month that is $139 (≈ €129) against AskSpot’s $290 (€250), and at 2,000 $289 (≈ €268) against $455 (€385). Checked October 2026 – see Molin’s pricing page for current rates.
Does Molin work with WooCommerce, Magento or Allegro?
Molin has official apps for Shopify, Shoper, Shoprenter and UNAS. On WooCommerce it installs as a script, and its plugin is listed as under development. Magento, PrestaShop, IdoSell, AtomStore and the Allegro and Amazon marketplace inboxes are not advertised on its public pages as of October 2026. AskSpot integrates natively with all of them.
Can Molin answer emails and phone calls?
Phone, yes – AI phone calls are open on every Molin plan since September 2026, and each call counts as a conversation. Email is newer: Molin’s AI writes email replies when an agent asks for them, rather than answering the inbox on its own. AskSpot’s AI Inbox Agent answers support emails inside your existing helpdesk (Freshdesk, Thulium, Zendesk) and in the Allegro and Amazon marketplace inboxes.
What is the best Molin alternative for e-commerce?
If you have outgrown a self-serve chatbot – a catalogue above 50,000 products, several platforms or marketplaces, or a support inbox the AI should answer on its own – AskSpot is a strong Molin alternative. It reads your catalogue and order data, works on every major e-commerce platform (including Magento, PrestaShop, IdoSell and AtomStore), answers in 200+ languages, and comes set up for you at a flat rate with $0.22 (€0.18) per extra conversation.
