What it is
An Agent that gets better at your store
Self-learning means AskSpot’s AI Agents keep improving at your store without you retraining them. The AI Chat Agent analyses its conversations and proposes changes and knowledge-base updates that raise its resolution rate – a person on your team approves each one before it goes live. The AI Inbox Agent reads your team’s earlier replies and learns to answer the way your team does. Everything it learns stays inside AskSpot and is never used to train external AI models.
Step 01
Learns from your conversations
The Chat Agent studies its own chats; the Inbox Agent studies the replies your team has already sent.
Step 02
Proposes, you approve
The Chat Agent suggests fixes and new knowledge-base entries – they go live only after your team approves them.
Step 03
Stays in AskSpot
What it learns improves your own Agents only – it never trains external AI models.
01 · AI Chat Agent
Proposes its own improvements
The AI Chat Agent analyses its conversations and proposes changes and knowledge-base updates that raise its resolution rate. Open any conversation in Analytics and click Analyze: the Help center explains why the Agent answered the way it did and suggests the fix in the knowledge base or the instructions. If a fact is missing, it asks you for it.
- Proposes changes and knowledge-base updates that raise the resolution rate
- Nothing goes live until someone on your team approves it
- Once a fix is approved, the next shopper with the same question gets the better answer
02 · AI Inbox Agent
Learns to reply like your team
The AI Inbox Agent reads your support team’s earlier replies in the inbox and learns how your team answers customers – so its replies sound like your team, not like a generic bot.
- Learns from the replies your team has already sent
- Answers customers the way your team does
- Works in the helpdesk and marketplace inboxes you already use
03 · Your data
What it learns stays inside AskSpot
Self-learning uses your store’s own conversations and your team’s replies to improve your own Agents – and that data stays inside AskSpot. It is never used to train external AI models.
- Your data improves your Agents only
- Never used to train external AI models
- EU-hosted and GDPR-compliant, with a data processing agreement available
04 · You decide
Switched on when you want it, checked by your team
You decide whether self-learning runs on your store – enable or disable it whenever you like. The Chat Agent’s proposals go live only once your team approves them, and the weekly assistant report shows what customers ask and what’s worth improving.
- Enable or disable self-learning for your store
- Your team approves every Chat Agent proposal
- A weekly email on what customers ask and what’s worth improving
Why it matters
An Agent that improves instead of going stale
A chatbot is only as good as the day it was set up – products, policies and questions change, and its answers fall behind. A self-learning Agent keeps closing those gaps: it spots what it couldn’t answer, proposes the fix and, once your team approves it, gets it right the next time. Your team reviews the fixes instead of hunting for them.

Available in
The AI Chat & Inbox Agents
Self-learning works in both AskSpot Agents – the AI Chat Agent learns from its conversations on your storefront, and the AI Inbox Agent learns from your team’s replies in your helpdesk and marketplace inboxes. Both build on the same knowledge base.
FAQ
Self-learning – questions answered
What is a self-learning AI Agent?
It’s an AI Agent that gets better at your store by itself. In AskSpot, the AI Chat Agent analyses its conversations and proposes changes and knowledge-base updates, which your team approves, and the AI Inbox Agent learns from your team’s earlier replies in the inbox.
Is my data used to train external AI models?
No. Your store’s conversations and your team’s replies are used only to improve your own AskSpot Agents, and they stay inside AskSpot. They are never used to train external AI models. AskSpot runs on EU-hosted infrastructure (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud), is GDPR-compliant, and a data processing agreement is available.
Does the Agent change its answers without asking?
No. The AI Chat Agent proposes changes and knowledge-base updates, and a person on your team approves them before they go live.
Where do I see what it proposes?
In the panel. Open a conversation in Analytics and click Analyze – the Help center explains why the Agent answered the way it did and suggests a fix in the knowledge base or the instructions. The weekly assistant report also lists what’s worth improving. Step by step: how to set up AskSpot with the Help center.
How does the AI Inbox Agent learn?
It reads your support team’s earlier replies in the inbox and learns how your team answers customers, so its own replies follow your team’s way of answering.
Can I turn self-learning off?
Yes. Self-learning can be enabled or disabled for your store, whichever you prefer.
Which products is it available in?
Self-learning is part of both AskSpot Agents – the AI Chat Agent and the AI Inbox Agent – and works on every e-commerce platform and support channel they support.
